At the head of the Katzenberg there was a stage, on which year after year well-known bands from Bamberg, brass bands and musicians from the surrounding area made the beer table sets below shake alarmingly. Several generations spent here atmospheric Kerwa evenings.

This flair was enjoyed at the wall above the stage by many onlookers who wanted to watch the spectacle from a certain distance. Quite often there were also “purely coincidentally” curious parents among them who watched their offspring, often a little frightened.

Many visitors, but also bands that performed at that time, still mourn this unique atmosphere today. The stage of the Katzenberg unfortunately fell victim to the increased safety regulations too.
