Luitpold School

Since in the late 19th century the population density of Bamberg grew ever further, in 1887 the city decided to build a school in the Market Gardeners‘ District. The merit is due to Hans Erlwein, who completed the Luitpold School in 1901 inaugurating one of the most eye-catching buildings of the Gardeners‘ District. Like other buildings of the city master builder, the Luitpold School, with its striking chromatism and impressive façade decoration, also has a high recognition value.
