Whether visitor or Bamberger: Together they laugh, celebrate, eat and drink. But what makes this festival so unique? On our foray through the Sand area we look back on 68 years of Sandkerwa® history.

Our special thanks go to Florian Herrleben from the Herrleben puppet theatre, who makes the children’s hearts beat faster year after year with the Bamberger Kasperl® on the children’s afternoon on Kerwas Thursday and who has made real treasures from Hans Herrleben’s family archive available to us. There is no more authentic way to document the history of the Kerwa. (More information about the Bamberger Kasperl®: https://www.facebook.com/Bamberger.Kasperl/)
