Großkopf Brewery

Those who wanted to brew beer always needed a brewing right. This brewing right was not granted to persons, but was directly linked to the breweries. If a property was inherited or sold with "brewing rights", the brewing right was automatically transferred to the next owner of the house. As a result, the brewery generally remained in operation for many generations. This regulation also had the advantage that the risk of fire from brewing could be reduced by structural measures step by step.
